Early Intervention Program for Children with Developmental Delays
At Sushiksha Intervention Centre, we believe that every child has an extraordinary way of learning and understanding the world. In our early intervention program, we focus on children below the age of seven. A comprehensive skill assessment is done, and then a customized Multidisciplinary Learning Program is set up for every individual child that focuses on their specific strengths and weaknesses.
The early intervention program also includes pre-learning and pre-language skill development programs, speech and language development programs, behavior regulation, and positive support. We also train parents and families to work with their kids for their enhanced social engagement, language, and learning skills. We deploy school readiness and gross and fine motor training program for children with special needs. Also, for the non-verbal children, we teach them alternate communication methods.
School Inclusion Program
After a detailed educational assessment, we curate a customized program focusing on the development priority areas of the student with special needs. We also teach them independent skills and apply a multidisciplinary approach while coordinating therapeutic services for individuals as well as classroom-based instructions that are implemented in all settings. We also provide and monitor home programs for the children.
Our program encompasses naturalistic teaching strategies to teach language and communication. We also provide innovative ideas, techniques, recommendations, and specific expertise to aid schools working with students with Autism. Furthermore, we conduct workshops for teachings to enhance their teaching strategies and associate with schools to recognize and analyze the individual and environmental issues for the students.
Language and Communication Development Program
Under this program, our emphasis is on teaching and enhancing the communication skills of children above five years of age. We identify the child’s strengths and use these positives in teaching them language. This program comprises vocabulary development, and building and bettering the receptive and expressive language skills of the children.
We help develop conversational skills, social communication skills in children through group learning programs. Moreover, to better the language processing skills of the children, we use picture-based tasks that help them learn better.
Academic Intervention Program
This program is specifically curated for students from nursery to grade 10. The program includes a pre-reading and pre-math skill program to enhance these essentials for a brighter academic future. Comprehension and reading, mathematics learning, and functional academic programs are also a part of the set.
We conduct a thorough analysis of every child’s school curriculum to customize an individual education program based on it. We teach independent skills to the children to help them achieve their academic objectives. We offer remedial support right from nursery up to high school.
Shadow Teacher Training Program
At Sushiksha Intervention Centre, we also depart strategies to teachers to teach a particular child. These include training the shadow teacher on thoroughly observing and accurately reporting the school event and activities of that particular child.
It also includes close monitoring of the child-specific program assigned to the shadow teacher.
Structural Training Classroom for Children with Autism
Sushiksha Intervention Centre employs a structured approach towards training children with Autism. We work on their communication skills that include reading, writing, speaking, listening, decision-making, and display preference by using a picture communication system.
We also use techniques to promote independent and prevocational skills in these children. We also deploy open education, community-based and functional academics programs.
We aim to place these children on an equal frontline with other members of the society, and prudent communication skill is a way to achieve this. Our program plans to teach and improve the communication and language techniques of the children with special needs to speak and understand in more functional and useful ways.
